Long Way Home, the new release from Son Henry is out! Recorded live at the 4th Avenue Theater in Anchorage Alaska in the fall of 2006,
it's an authentic picture of a real Son Henry show- some off the cuff song selections and some fantastic guitar playing- guitar players need
to check out the solo on 'Hip Shake. Featuring Alaska legends Stu Schulman (Guitar) and Melissa Bledsoe Fisher (Piano) adding to Son's regular line up of Joel Lockman (Bass) and John Clark (Drums). Special guests
Blue Lisa Monroe and Otto Lenz.
Recorded live by BBS Studio in Anchorage, Alaska in November 2005
Heartache and Trouble, the latest studio release from lap-steel virtuoso Son Henry is now available. We're really excited about this new record, it's a fun record full
of great old-school blues. There some amazing playing throughout, including guest appearances by Otto Lenz and Blue Lisa Monroe.
Recorded at BBS Studio in Anchorage, Alaska in November 2005, this is a romping collection of old Chicago style blues. Eric Scott, writing for Blues Matters! Magazine, called it "Soulful". You can read his review here.
Glenn Highway Blues is now in its second printing. Featuring drummer John Clark and bassist
Joel Lockman, this disk revisits country blues with an electric flair.
Loaded with lap steel and rolling bass lines. This is a great disk for
fans of good slide playing in open tunings.
Originally recorded at BBS Studio in Anchorage, Alaska in February 2005. It's available on-line from CDbaby and ImusicStage....
