Son took the audience through a journey from Delta acoustic blues, up to Chicago on his electric guitar and his acoustic lap steel guitar, of which is a master player. The new song Sackcloth and Ashes which was played on the lap steel and will be on his forthcoming new album brought the Legion to a standstill. You could have heard a pin drop in the room as the notes just dripped from Son's guitar and filled the room. The crowd were rewarded with an encore at the end of the set as a thank you for their appreciation.Music

A new and long-overdue collection of original acoustic blues and country music. Ten new compositions performed on an eclectic collection of old instruments; resonator guitar, mandolin, lap steel and dobro. Songs about life recorded during that strange time of isolation during the pandemic.

Thrift Store Sorcerer
A poetic collection of acoustic lap steel and finger-style songs performed solo and recorded live in the studio. Includes "The Girl on the Beach", "Sackcloth and Ashes" and "Not Really Broken". The disk gets its name from the collection of instruments used on the recording, many of which came from thrift and charity shops around the UK.

Long Way Home
Originally recorded live at the Fourth Avenue Theater in Anchorage, Alaska at "Blues for my Brother" Son's annual fundraiser for the Brother Francis Homeless Shelter.
